Yes you can get Cox premium business Internet (CBI) with 15 Mbps Down and 2 Mbps Up (15/2) for $229 per month. Compare this to a Data T1 line of a maximum 1.5 Mbps of symmetrical internet for approximately $500.00 per month in metro Tucson AZ and you can definitely see that Cox business fills and satisfies a niche.

Objections?…Yes, there are 2 major objections that I receive repeatedly when comparing Cox business Internet (CBI) with 15/2 to a legacy data T1 line… Those ojections usually goes something like this:

"Well Cox Busness is not a dedicated connection…It is shared bandwidth."

Well yes this is correct. The bandwidth you would recieve with CBI is shared bandwidth and the actual download and upload speeds may fluctuate based on bandwidth traffic at any particular moment. But think of it like this…even if you averaged out the speeds you were getting from CBI and you were only getting half of the 15/2 speeds to 7.5/1 you are still getting more over all and consistent bandwidth for only $229 per month than you are getting with a legacy data T1 line at an average of $500 per month in metro Tucson.

If your organization demands that you have a dedicated connection than Cox can still deliver. Cox has "Cox Optical Internet" (COI) which delivers a dedicated connection of 15 Mbps down with 5 Mbps up for $260 a month. The only drawback to COI is that it is not availiable in all areas.

The other objection I hear is this:

"Your CBI speeds are not symmetrical….With my T1 I get a dedicated 1.5 Mbps down and 1.5 Mbps up…"

This is true. A legacy data T1 does provide dedicated and symmetrical bandwidth of 1.5 Mbps down and 1.5 Mbps up for around $500 per month in metro Tucson.

Well again, if your organzation requires symmetrical bandwidth (the same up speeds as down speeds) Cox business can deliver. Cox Optical Internet (COI) does have dedicated and symmetrical bandwidth availialbe at far higer bandwidth speeds at far below traditional T1 prices and it is all fiber optic based.

Whether you decide on taking advantage of Cox business internet (CBI) or Cox optical internet (COI) I am sure you can see that you would be getting a far superior service for a far more cost effective price point than you would with a current legacy T1 solution.
